What makes for an unforgettable COVID-19 vaccination experience?

As Thailand rushes to combat the current coronavirus pandemic, many provinces and local hospitals throughout the country have had to come up with ways to efficiently and securely vaccinate its citizens, whether through at-home vaccination services, mass vaccination sites in parking lots, or the recent launch of a mobile vaccine unit around Bangkok.

But nothing beats the latest campaign launched by the authorities of Tha Tum District in Thailand’s north-eastern province of Surin, where the villagers get to sit on their elephants to get vaccinated!

Since nausea can be a common side effect of a vaccine injection, I cannot see that the rumbling motion of an elephant minutes later is a great idea.

.

Well, stupid is as stupid does, but eminently better than in the States where Dunkin Donuts is giving you two free donuts for taking the jab....

Followed by another jab, most likely, of insulin.

A place in New Orleans, Louisiana (USA)  was offering a bowl of some locally renowned noodle soup, a jab and a free shot of booze at the bar across the street.  Other places put your name in a lottery with $$$ prizes.

Oh, you mean the rapid side effects that shows up 2 minutes after getting the vaccine?

I'll have to send my b/f to New Orleans. He's shy of getting vaxed but he loves his noodles ...

Second thoughts, I could put him on an elephant here in Surin with a bowl of noodles.

I Bangkok, I got a trip on the MRT and a perilous walk across railroad tracks to the vaccination center.
