As Hua Hin puts the final preparations in place for its reopening to vaccinated tourists on October 1, another district in Prachuap Khiri Khan has increased COVID-19 restrictions.

Officials in Thap Sakae have confirmed that COVD-19 restrictions have been intensified in one of its sub-districts.

As of Sept 12, people travelling in and out of the Ang Thong subdistrict now need to get prior permission, with only essential trips permitted.

Still opening up on Oct 1st?

After 18 months there's no choice.

But theres waves of the virus coming and going in every country.

Theres not going to be many flights and returning home will entail some sort of restrictions.

Transferring between countries to get to your final destination will also have hurdles.

Bottom line is whatever Thailand does theres other countries that will have rules that make traveling difficult and expensive.

Many won't come to a country where the inhabitants arent vaccinated.

Travel insurance for Thailand will be difficult to obtain until they get things under control, especially the lack of Hospital beds.

Its a long road ahead for the country and its totally inept government.

They are very quickly going to have to give up on the notion of dealing with "clusters".....this is going to rip.
