Take cycle on bus to Bangkok

Looking at my options to take a bike, in a box, from Phuket to Bangkok. Is the luggage compartment in a bus big enough to take a bike?

Wrap your bike into a box and pay extra for it.

When I moved from Bangkok to Phuket I used the Post Office to send my bike, cost less than 500 baht.

 

Once even posted a 25kg TV set.

Only did it once but was a piece of cake. Bike with panniers, just slid right in. Bike cost 1/2 of my fare roughly.    

Also shipped it by post, no box just wrapped a bit, came through perfect.
