Best BTS/MRT station for getting a taxi to muang thong thani immigration

Featured Replies

unfortunately, I missed my last 90-day report deadline, so i have to go do it in person at MTT before I do my visa extension at CW.

what would be the best BTS/MRT station to get the shortest taxi ride to MTT?

Also, how early should I get there to not be stuck waiting for too long?

or is later better to not get stuck in a long queue?

thanks for your helpful responses

The Red Line stop at Lak Si would be physically closest to MTT, but depending on where you live, it may be more convenient to take the Green Line to Wat Phra Sri Mahathat which is not too much farther away. Certainly if you live on Sukhumvit or Phaholyothin it's easier to take the Green Line rather than transfer via MRT Blue Line to Bang Sue Grand Station to get the Red Line. (Although the Red Line is free these days, so there's that.)

As for the 2nd part of your question, when I went last month I got there at about 07:50 and was out by 09:00. They start processing at 08:30.

Depending on where you live,   You can get a minivan from Chatuchak Park ( Mo Chit bts )  to near opposite the MTT entrance on Changwattana road.  You just cross over the walk bridge and catch the Baht bus that takes you right up to the Building in MTT
