Photo: PPHO PHUKET: The nine Phuket Comprehensive COVID-19 Response teams (Phuket CCR) deployed across the island have tested more than 4,000 people over the past two days, and identified 212 infected people in the community. The teams were deployed yesterday as part of a new strategy to counter the high number of infections, which have remained above 200 for the past two weeks. The initial goal announced was for the teams to test 25,000 people in a three-day intensive campaign that was announced as to conclude today (Sept 23). So they were 21,00 people short of there goal for testing. Thats roughly a 19% infection rate. That's probably why they stopped (were ordered) to stop testing. 2 1

Still high bearing in mind these are folks going out and about in the community. No mention of contact tracing I note. and a huge shortfall on testing numbers. Perhaps nobody wanted to be tested for fear of being interned? 3
