History repeating?

On opening Google. Automatically, I get Google search and History showing one of my searches. How do I get rid of this? Make it simple please.

Go to Google settings - the 3 dots at the top right of the browser.  Go to "On Startup".  Select "Open the New Tab Page".

This means Google will start with a clean tab.

Clear your browsing history while you're there.

Edit: You may also want to turn off "Show Bookmarks Bar" in Appearance.  If you want to remove the 9 shortcuts at the bottom of the browser I think the only way to get rid of them is delete them manually.

Edit 2:  Just discovered you can remove the shortcuts on the "customize Chrome" button at the bottom right of a clean tab.

Go into browser settings, privacy security, clear browsing data. Tick all the boxes there.

Then try cleaning browsing data again and close and open browser afterwards.

If using default edge chrome in settings you can toggle on/ activate the clear browsing data automatically everytime when closing the browser.

Toggle on clear/clean cookies and tick the box do not allow third party cookies.

Solution by @Gsxrnz should solve your problem.
