Pattaya – An intoxicated female sedan driver reportedly attempted to escape after crashing into a motorbike at a traffic light in Pattaya on Thursday night (October 14th) during a mandatory Covid-19 curfew time from 10:00 P.M. to 4:00 A.M. Two people in total sustained injuries as a result of the collision.

The Pattaya City Police were notified of the accident around midnight at the entrance of Sukhumvit-Pattaya Road in Nongprue.

Emergency responders and The Pattaya News team arrived at the scene to find a damaged black motorbike on the road.

Nearby, Pattaya police found two young injured people lying on the road who were a 17-year-old driver (name withheld due to being a minor) and his passenger Ms. Tassika Wangsuk, 20. Both had sustained various injuries and were rushed to a local medical facility for assistance. Before going to the hospital, the victims described a woman driving a sedan hitting them and speeding away after stepping out of her vehicle briefly, seeing the injured victims, and deciding to flee.

Now the questions is obviously if the intoxicated driver is a HiSo or at least rich.

After that is established then the police can decide how to continue with this case.

From the linked article:

Unfortunately for the driver, her car’s license plate was found on the road, having come off during the accident.

You certainly get a higher level of 'master criminal' in Thailand.

She left the car number plate at the scene of the crime.  Priceless.  :coffee1:

I think this is a set up.

The number plate was left on purpose to implicate her husband's gik.

Utterly disgraceful.

Also in the article:
"Also unfortunately for the driver, Good Samaritans followed her and blocked her attempt to flee with their vehicles not far from the scene.
She was taken to the Pattaya City Police Station. She did not agree to give her name to police or reporters and was described as “uncooperative” by police, denying all charges at the time of the incident. She was described as a Thai woman roughly 25-30 years old.
"

Apparently the police are looking into the restaurant she claims to have been drinking in as well as why she and the 2 on the motorbike were out during curfew.

Naturally, we will likely never hear the outcome of any of this.

After reading the link I think she's in for a shock.

Fleeing the scene after an accident and after causing injuries, intoxicated and being un-helpful towards the police.

Then admitting she was at a restaurant drinking... [banned]..

I bet she was kicking herself after realising she had lost her number plate at the scene.... how embarassing.

And earlier this week a gold shop robber left his phone at the scene. Even more priceless.

She didn't want to part with her phone which she was using at the time.....

Homeless folk perhaps.....?

What's your Fathers name ?  is a normal Question here. :coffee1:

Was it in a no passing zone, will the other driver be charged?  Short answer,  probably  not.  No such thing as drivers ed or training here
