Mobile app offers free on-site repairs by vocational students

PATHUM THANI (NNT) - The Ministry of Education has launched the “Chang Achiwa” mobile application to facilitate free, on-site repair of appliances and machinery by vocational students from Fix It Centers nationwide.

COVID-19 pill may revive old, bitter debate

Common sense, whether it’s humanitarian or economic, dictates that if the world has found a drug that can make the coronavirus a lot less scary, the treatment should be made available to everyone as soon, as cheap and as equitable as possible. Good news is that the world is probably on the verge of finding such a drug, but that common sense could be severely tested.

Three markets in Chiang Mai locked down for three days of disinfection

Chiang Mai’s adjacent Waroros, Ton Lamyai and flower markets have been closed down for three days, starting today (Thursday), for disinfection, while surrounding areas have been placed under maximum watch for 14 days after 37 people, mostly traders, were found to be infected with COVID-19.

Another storm to hit Thailand late next week, heavy rain forecast

People living in Thailand’s eastern, lower central, and upper southern regions are advised to brace for heavy rain next Friday and Saturday when an atmospheric depression is expected to make landfall near Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City next Thursday.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's central bank has further eased rules on mortgages to boost a key property sector struggling from the impacts of the pandemic, officials said on Thursday, sending property shares higher.

500,000 doses of vaccines to be sent to southern Thai provinces as COVID-19 infections surge

Phuket “sandbox” model adapted for Bangkok’s international airports

Thailand’s Suvarnabhumi and Don Muaeng international airports have adapted Phuket’s “sandbox’ model in the management and processing of arriving foreign tourists. Disembarkation to leaving the airports will take roughly 25 minutes, according to Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob.
