Three suspects in the case of an unnamed woman from Sa Kaeo Province who was raped three times on Thursday night have now been apprehended by police in Chonburi who have initiated legal proceedings based on rape and drug charges after the 27-year-old hostess filed a complaint with Sattahip Police Station on Friday following her harrowing ordeal at the hands of three men.

The latest case highlights the dangers of ‘hostessing’ for young women in Thailand seeking to earn short term cash by serving drinks and performing a PR function at get-togethers where drinks and drugs are often available to party-goers.

Police in Chonburi have detained a final suspect following the arrest of two others on Friday after a young woman claimed to have been raped by three men on Thursday night in the Sattahip area of the province while hostessing for a party.

The 27-year-old woman, named by police only as ‘Ms Ple’ or ‘Ms B’ is from Sa Kaeo Province in eastern Thailand, bordering Cambodia.

That is why they are `hired` for such events to look sexy and provocative....but it does not give men the right to maul and rape...and as on previous occasions kill.

I thought sex for extra pay was implied as part of a 'hostess' duties.

(for small private parties obviously)

Or better yet, dont be a rapist

In most of these cases involving alcohol , drugs and partying, there are grey areas. People are drunk and high and deciding to have sex. Sometimes women feel like they were manipulated after they sober up. And the guy thinks he's a rockstar because he "got laid".

This is why you are better off just paying for ST sex. To avoid all of these problems. Even celebrities run into these problems all the time.

No. But this wasn't a violent ambush style rape. It was a drunk and high people making bad decisions.

The woman told police that after three rounds of drinks, the house owner, Mr Tung, attacked her and forced her into a bedroom where she was raped two times by him.

Her police statement said the two other men in the house then followed him into the bedroom, one at a time, and raped her after Mr Tung was finished.

Right, that you call this a grey area says a lot about you.

FORCED HER into a bedroom and later  two other men then did the same after the fist was done. Not sure what is rape in your mind. But in my mind this is 100% rape.

That's her side of the story. If all of that is true as stated by her than its clearly rape. But the men probably have a far different recollection of what happened.

Remember that Filipino airline stewardess who was allegedly raped and killed by 5 or 10 men ? The CCTV footage shows her forcing herself on guys. And then she drank so much she passed out and somehow died.

There is a reason that when in the U.S. and Canada you hire a few girls for a party that the girls usually have an escort with them and or never go alone.

While I agree that girls should not have to worry about this it is unfortunately a fact of society that when boys/men have a party where alcohol is present and pretty girls are that the BIG head cedes all thought to the little head.

Also when you look at the way that Thai girls are normally treated and portrayed both in life but on TV that it is never a sae environment for a girl/lady to be in a group of men or boys alone.

As has been stated drinks can be drugged or inhibitions lowered.

While I do not agree with what happened and feel that the boys should be charged for a girl to dress sexy, act sexy and go alone to a party like this is not what i would call the smartest thing.  While we males tend to think with our small head girls tend to think with their pocket books which has even less brain power.

Does the escort sit outside in the car waiting or does he/she follow them around inside the venue ?

There is far too much of these sexual abuse & rape cases, Thailand should look at Singapore in regards to penalties for these offenders. A lady should be able to perform any task she chooses from hostessing to even topless dancing and not be subjected to sexual abuse and rape, obviously many men need to be further educated and subjected to harsh penalties for these crimes. Guys just imagine if this was your sweet young daughter or sister, you would be horrified and feel like catching these offenders and castrating them!!!

Christ almighty…you think there are degrees of rape? Some are worse than others in your view? You call three men raping a woman a “bad decision”?
