The ruling Palang Pracharath is set to meet Thursday to decide the fate of its current leadership structure and could see the ouster of current Party Secretary General Thammanat Prompao.

Thammanat was seen as a key figure in a September plot against Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha which would have Prayut removed during a parliamentary no-confidence debate.

The plot failed when Thammanat’s backer and key ally Palang Pracharath Party Leader Prawit Wongsuwan had a change of heart at the last minute due to the plot being leaked to the press and lobbying by Prayut’s allies.

The only way Thailand can move forward is to replace these people wearing fancy uniforms with people in suits armed with university educations, Thailand is still stuck in a long gone age of generals holding power - it is democracy in name only, quite sad really

Na ???? ????????

Jo Ferrari  for number 1 party position He gets things done ????

Thammanat for number 2 position he is just a well connected importer / exporter ????

Retire Dead Friend Watch Guy and he can have Zoom meetings occasionally just like Thaksin ???? Still running the show ????

Get rid of Prawit.....get rid of Prayut.....get rid of Anutin....get rid of Tammanat. Hire some people who have ethics. Seriously, not one of these people would hold a candle to Thaksin or his lovely sister.

You have it partially right.  They need to remove the fancy uniform people.  I am not sure that having a niversity degree is the main criteria that you can accept.  Most countries have people with university degrees and if you look at some of the larger countries they arenot doing all that hot right now.

While a university degree can be of benefit i think it is more important that they have a track record in running a business ethically.

It is not the person in charge that decides what happens unless his is independently wealthy and can run a campaign where he owes no one and his party owes no one.

They need a person that cares about the country, can outline a plan and back up the plan with a means of acheiving things.

There should be a requirement to explain where the funds for every promise comes from and that they are checked by  an independent system.

They also need to get rid of the extras that are not voted in directly.

Well......the greater system of a traditional ruling class requires not just mending, but a complete overhaul.
