I have been asked for these details several times by Thais, what are they referring to please?

I presume it's your mobile number which they can link up with you on an app called LINE.  It's free calls and video all over the world. Works great for me from the UK to Thailand.

 

I'll stand corrected  but that's all I can think of.

You can setup a Line ID. So instead of telling people your phone number you say my line ID is: up2you2

I think the OP has Line.

When people ask you for a location, you can do this by going into the settings at the bottom of your chat with that person.#

Click on the +

Then select 'location'

Then just click 'share' at the top right corner.

 

BUUUUUT it's perfectly possibly to cheat, by sharing a place where you're not! This allows Thais to lie!

But by default your exact location will be shown.

So how to do you check the location of the person in the chat without asking them.?

I have made a lot of progress here, the stated address on the correct red balloon location - see attachment is correct.

However the address given in the black box is incorrect.

Trying to work out how to change this address, to the correct one please?
