Moken communities under lockdown after 15 test positive for COVID-19

The provincial communicable disease committee of the southern coastal province of Phang-nga has temporarily but completely locked down the Moken (Morgan) indigenous communities on the Surin islands in the Andaman Sea after 15 people tested positive for COVID-19.

Din Daeng stadium to be last BMA run major vaccination facility in Bangkok from Tuesday

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) will close all but one of its 25 vaccination facilities in the capital on Tuesday, but will retain the main centre at the Thai-Japanese stadium in Din Daeng.

Free IUDs for under 20s available at all NHSO-connected hospitals in Thailand

Women under 20 can now get a free contraceptive intrauterine device (IUD) at all private and state hospitals connected with Thailand’s National Health Security Office (NHSO), according to Dr. Suwanchai Wattanayingcharoenchai, director-general of the Health Services Department.
