I just checked requirements for travel to Australia for international tourists. (I'm planning to travel there 2022.)

 

Seems, that travel bubbles are based on citizenship, while long-term residency in Asia (also during the pandemic) is irrelevant, which is not only puzzling, but also worrying, as I expect travel bubbles to be up and running for Asian countries first.

But Australia is not an Asian country.

Australia is not an Asian country geographically, historically or culturally. Geographically, Australia is not located in Asia. Australia is an island continent. It is quite pointless in even grouping Australia in Oceania.

Mine is, that, despite residing in Thailand, this won't be given any consideration. Perhaps someone else is in the same boat, and can exchange ideas or experiences.

Usually not a problem, but I have "credits" from cancelled trips that will expire eventually.

Yeah, I know! It´s the most hellish thing that can happen! My Finnair points expired 18 month ago. Still can´t handle it good.
