I will be interested to hear how you get on shipping the dog over as i am retiring next year and moving to LOS with my dog

Just chose an airline that accept your dog as check in luggage. Get an approved transport cage. Make sure your dog has all required vaccinations. Apply for a import permit from DLD. And then of you go.

If you have a dog that is to heavy, considered dangerous or some flat nose dogs that can have problem breathing, you might not be able to do it.

Different airlines have different rules. Check around.

Good luck

I wouldn't take my dog to small cafes/restaurants to do her business.  Or even with me to have meal, as a pet peeve of mine.  If I see dogs or cats in a restaurant, I want go in.

Great - we have no chance of ever meeting then.

Also who mentioned taking their pet to a cafe to poop? our dog is most definitely part of the family

You think the dogs were poisoned "due to religious beliefs"?

My Kamala next door neighbour, an expat retiree, has a toy breed that is surviving perfectly well.

As is the larger dog belonging to the Thai family opposite - although I do have to shoo it away when it tries to defecate on my front drive.

I dont think I know - they told him so
