Looking For Live-in Maid In Khonkaen City

Featured Replies

I am located in KhonKaen City and am presently attempting to find a live-in maid. It seems that all the women that do this type of work here are interested in live out only due to having a husband & family to go home to and take care of each night. Does anyone know of someone that is looking for this type of job? Obviously, this person wouldn't have to be from my area, and can live anywhere in Isaan or Thailand for that matter.

We have always treated our maid extremely well (like family) and have provided her with one holiday per week along with a bonus at New Years as well as other little benefits during the year. Unfortunately, our previous maid didn't like dogs at all, so we had to let her go; we didn't have the puppies when she started with us. Our new maid would not need to speak English or cook western food, Thai only. She must like small dogs as we have two of them. There would be no children to take care of, just our two dogs and us.

If any of you know of someone looking for this kind of arrangement, please post it here or pm me.

hmm should be easy to find potential people, especially as working in a foreign household environment is probably more enticing to some people then working for a full thai family. Maybe make some ads or something ? I am also sure there are a lot of Burmese or Laoatian workers also available, i am no expert but foreigners seem to usually be more live in style maids, and from my experience (which is limited haha, but my friends etc) they are really great people and very loyal kinda thing. anyway good luck!

Thanks for your post. Believe it or not, the Thai maids would rather work for a full Thai family as opposed to a foreign/Thai family. If there are other Thai maids working close by or in the same household, it is much easier to keep a Thai maid; they would have someone with whom to make friends with and not get bored so fast with their working environment.

I have been looking into the Burmese and Laotian idea for several weeks now with very little success thus far.

As I stated in my original post, it is not easy in this area to locate a potential "live-in maid" for the reason I mentioned. This undertaking would be much more doable in Bangkok than it would here.

The search continues. :o

Hi there TJM55,

I spotted your inquiry about a live in maid and possibly I can help you out. Although I now reside in Buriram, I have a good friend who has been living in Bangkok for many years now and is well versed in Farang culture. He/she would possibly be interested in being a maid for you, I have enclosed a photo. If you are interested well please pm me and I will set up an interview.

Take care and I hope you will not be too angry with my offer.............RayBan :o

RayBan,

That is precious indeed. He/she may well be a bit over qualified for our needs however.
