December 6, 20214 yr Popular Post Santa Claus (St. Nick), as drawn by Thomas Nast for Harper’s Weekly in 1881. As a German my Christmas Holiday Season traditionally kicks off on St. Nicholas Day, Dec. 6th. That was the day on which our family would officially adorn our house with the customary Christmas trimmings and decorate our Christmas tree. All while the air was filled with the sounds of Christmas music. So, to start . . . One of my most beloved contemporary Christmas songs is Emerson, Lake & Palmer's I Believe In Father Christmas, which was released in 1975 as an EP.
December 6, 20214 yr Author Popular Post "The Little Drummer Boy" (originally known as "Carol of the Drum") is a popular Christmas song written by the American classical music composer and teacher Katherine Kennicott Davis in 1941. While many have covered this Christmas classic perhaps the most well known and often played version is The Harry Simeone Chorale's of 1958. This entire album was amongst our family collection when I was a child.

I never did ,like Christmas, so coming to live in a Buddhist country seemed a good idea at the time, to avoid all that over done hype and especially all those annoying carols; big mistake, huge.

December 6, 20214 yr But this is Thailand. Namo tassa Bagavato Arahato Samma Sambuttasa. I don't miss "Christmas" and the economic abortion it had become. The religiosity of Christmas as dies out long ago. I continued to celebrate it until it became obvious that Black Friday was more important than the birth of Jesus. "God rest ye merry, gentlemen Let nothing you dismay Remember, Christ, our Saviour Was born on Christmas day To save us all from Satan's power When we were gone astray O tidings of comfort and joy." Yes, but nowadays with all the New Normal and SJW and Marxists, you can't mention 'gentlemen' (triggered!) or 'Christmas' (triggered!) or 'Christ' (triggered!) or 'you' (triggered!), or 'us' (triggered!). You can probably mention Satan if you're deferential. At pushing 70 years old I reflect in this 'Christmas' (triggered!) season:What a screwed up world!
December 6, 20214 yr Author And as some of elders here are hard rockers then Bruce Springsteen's '75 live performance of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town is indispensable.
