A pickup truck reportedly carrying illegal migrants overturned while attempting to escape police inspection in the Maharat District of Ayutthaya province yesterday morning, December 8th, killing three people and injuring another 15.

 

Police officers from the Maharaj Police Station and rescue volunteers arrived at the scene after being alerted of the incident at around 7:40 AM. A wrecked vehicle was found rolled over on the side of the road. Three deceased males were also discovered, reportedly being thrown out of the truck from the impact of the accident. The three men’s names, ages, and nationality were not immediately released by Ayutthaya officials.

 

About 15 injured passengers, both men, and women were found lying nearby and crying for help. They were rushed to the nearest hospital for medical assistance.

What carnage... all for a small profit on the backs of the poor.......

Shameful and reprehensible.  Tired of seeing this happen.  Open the borders and let folks in legally to work.  Prosecute these coyotes and smugglers and then put them in stocks in the middle of town.

Of course, the driver managed to escape.....but, do they ever get caught?

The law enforcement officers followed the truck until it crashed.. but failed to apprehend the driver?

Well I hope in the next day or so I hope they nail the driver using the trucks identification and serve justice.

Which in this case should be manslaughter on 3 counts.

According to Singburi Highway Police Chaiwichit Saensub, two suspicious pickup trucks were inspected due to driving in a competitive manner

 

You'd think, if they were involved in people smuggling, they'd keep a low profile. But no, brain dead idiots have to draw attention to themselves.

This now seems to be a weekly event.
