I had both Pfizer doses in Australia and have the appropriate certificate. However when I went to Bang Sue two weeks ago they told me they weren't doing boosters yet and also didn't want to know about my Australian Certificate. What they did do however is administer my 'first' Thailand Pfizer dose and booked me in for a second (fourth which I won't take) due about now. I wonder how many others have experienced the same situation?

Not sure why two posters are confused. I probably didn't make myself very clear.

I went to Bang Sue for a booster and was informed they weren't doing boosters.

However due to them not wanting to recognise the Australian Certificate and therefore ignoring it they offered me what is in their opinion shot number one. However I view it as my booster shot. I'm not sure if it's possible to take my documents and have them all entered into the database because it is, the Thailand system shows me as just having the one shot of Pfizer rather than 3. I'm not complaining in fact I'm extremely happy with the outcome.

I believe the recommendation is for any third vaccine. There is information to say that a combination of the vaccines can provide wider coverage although with the new omicron variant there isn’t enough research. I read an article that three doses of phizer have shown to provide 75% protection against the omicron variant.

I think the important thing is to ensure you gave a third vaccine. My personal choice for a third shot would be first choice AstraZeneca or phisher then moderna.

re: Pfizer, the government ordered 20 mm doses, all for delivery in 2021. I think ~ 14 mm have been delivered to date, but I don't follow this very closely.

And another 30 mm for 2022, Q1 & Q2.

its as clear as mud

If you want to get the Pfizer shot you have just had in Thailand you can send the certificate to your GP in Australia (has to be a vaccination provider) and have it uploaded to the AIR (Australian Immunization Register) then you can use your Australian vaccination certificate with the 3 doses you have had

Please stop posting misleading and dubious replies.

As I said before,  but you cannot apparently read, the recommendations by the US, Thailand and Pfizer for those already having had 2 doses of Pfizer is 6 months. So perhaps instead of learning to increase the size of your fonts you spend more time educating yourself and reading what I have already posted and stop posting misleading information on such serious health matters, and just for you I shall post those recommendations again;

Oh dear you really do have a problem, as you quoted some Irish media I assume you are Irish so hence I shall make allowances regarding your misleading information????

This thread is about 2 Pfizer shots and when to obtain the third, here in Thailand, specifically the provinces.  Understand so far ?  As I posted previously which clearly you have not read or perhaps not understood your statement of 3 months is untrue and misleading.

Again read it, understand we are in Thailand, the poster is asking about Thailand and the link below specifies the recommended time to get the third shot here in Thailand.  If you can't comprehend that then please refrain from posting misleading rubbish on what is an important health subject where facts are required.

You have a lot to learn about Thailand before you ever get here.

Pathetic reply as you should be apologising on the forum for your misleading health information. Been here in Thailand  38 years so probably older than you judging by your posts.

So, as I have a Moderna dose already booked, can two people share that as boosters? Or is half the bottle wasted?

you can split with another person, but you need to go to the hospital that you bought the doses to do some paper work, I booked 2 doses of Moderna since then had other vaccine i split the Moderna with my wife as booster

I don't understand. I asked if a single dose can be split between two people, not two doses.
