Bring out yer dead . . .

Don Hill (d. June 18, 2021), saxophonist for The Treniers, live with Rockin' On Sunday Night from a variety show in '56.

Japanese guitarist Takeshi Terauchi (d. June 18, 2021) of Takeshi Terauchi & The Blue Jeans, the Japanese version of The Ventures, with Sentimental Guitar (涙のギター) off of their '65 エレキ!エレキ!エレキ! album.

The Ventures '67 cover of Sentimental Guitar.  The Ventures played often to huge crowds in Japan during the 60's.  It's been said that part of their appeal was that they were an instrumental band only, so no English lyrics for the Japanese audiences to fuss with.

Singer-songwriter, pianist, and slide guitarist Ellen McIlwaine (d. June 23, 2021) with her band Fear Itself on Booker T. Jones' Born Under A Bad Sign  off of their '68 Fear Itself debut LP.

Swedish blues and reggae musician Peps Persson (d. June 27, 2021) with Linkin' Louisiana Peps ‎on Blues With A Feeling off of the '68 Blues Connection LP.

This was one of the first songs which I heard in 2022. Someone played it loud enough that I could hear it in my apartment.

I always liked that song when I was young and in the first days of January this year it was constantly playing in my head.

Then I did a little research about it. Very interesting. It was originally a B-Side (for those of you who remember A- and B-Sides). Almost everything was played on the brand new synthesizer which was just invented...

John Lawton (d. June 29, 2021), cringeworthy lead singer with Lucifer's Friend, Uriah Heep and Les Humphries Singers.  Lucifer's Friend with Lucifer's Friend off of the '70 Lucifer's Friend album.  To each their own but I have to gnash my teeth when I hear his vocals.

Sanford Clark (d. July 4, 2021) with his Lee Hazlewood penned '56 hit single The Fool.

Irish bassist Rick Laird (d. July 4, 2021), an original member of the jazz fusion Mahavishnu Orchestra.  Birds Of Fire, the title track off of their '73 album.

Cinderella lead guitarist Jeff LaBar (d. July 14, 2021), Michael Schermick replacement, with a live performance of Nobody's Fool in Moscow, Russia back in '89.

Heavy metal takes another hit with touring keyboardist Gary Corbett receiving the KISS of death on July 14, 2021.  Crazy, Crazy Nights performed on their Crazy Nights tour, April 21, '88.

What's the old saying, the only good commie is a dead commie?  Okay, bad joke.  Frontman of the Moscow band Zvuki, MuPyotr Mamonov (d. July 15, 2021), on The Source Of Infection off of their self titled '89 LP.  Apparently the infection turned out to be lethal.

Take no shortcuts with one of the best psychedelic songs of the 60's.  Full version only.  And, the full version has The Little Drummer Boy riff in it.
