Which train song reminds me of last year's train song theme and of those train songs missed.

Blackfoot with their '79 single Train, Train.

Happy Birthday Dolly, a great introduction to the song!

The story goes that Dolly stole her bullet bumpers from a '56 Caddy when she was in high school.  It's never been officially confirmed, though.

To kill two birds with one stone, we have Wabash Cannon Ball as a tribute to her birthday and as one of those missed train songs.  Off of her live '70 A Real Live Dolly album.

I thought I had seen a Dr. Feelgood post.  Which brings me damn near full circle back to Irma Thomas.

Dr. Feelgood off of her '97 The Story Of My Life album.

Exactly right. Sting, Eric Burdon, Brian Ferry, Brian Johnson, Chris Rea, Mark Knopfler are the ones who spring to my mind, based on my musical taste.

I think the original Macca version is great, but I prefer Guns N' Roses cover of Live & Let Die.
