Voluntary curfew in Ubon Ratchathani, 23 eateries closed in Chiang Mai as COVID infections surge

Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Governor Pongrat Phiromrat is seeking cooperation from people in the north-eastern Thai province by not leaving their home or lodgings between 11pm and 4am, as the province steps up measures to contain a surge in COVID-19 infections.

 

The voluntary curfew came into effect today (Saturday) and will remain until further notice.

 

The governor said that only people engaged in medical services, delivery of consumer food, farm products, animal feed, petrol, printing materials, construction materials, construction equipment, postal services, medical equipment, rescue and emergency services, ambulances, delivery trucks of commercial banks, officials on duty, public transport passengers and people working should be out during the curfew.

The ridiculous, meaningless and useless covidiocy madness is never ending.

I guess the government is expecting to hear of many people getting sick.

  Omicron is only very contagious, and likely everyone will be sick with it

sometime in the future.  I am wondering if there are some posters who 

are not vaccinated, and have caught omicron.  My friends in Canada have

said that the majority of people in the hospital ICU, or critical beds are

the unvaccinated. Many people are getting their surgeries cancelled as

there are no bed available. The growing shortage of doctors, nurses and

hospital staff is not helping the situation either.  I sure hope that the hospitals

in Thailand do not all get full at the same time.
