UK visitor returning home via Bangkok airport - does she need a current sinus test ?

Featured Replies

this relates to my friend's mum; she has her 3 shots, while in UK. was quarantined for one day, on arrival. Needs to know, if she flies from Suratthani to Bangkok, does she need any thing (eg a sinus test) other than her original vax cert from the UK.? flying out tomorrow, so she' pretty worried, as the airline call centre is busy. tia

Check with the Airline Webpage:

Which Airlines ? Surrathanai to Bangkok ? - Thai Smile / Nok / AirAsia etc ?

You need to check with the airline Webpage.

Flight from Bangkok to the UK (Direct ? / transit ?)  Which Airline ? Different Airlines have different regulations for PCR Test / Antigen Test <72 hrs before travel or <48 hrs before travel.

There is too much missing information to give an effective answer.

The UK itself requires an Antigen Test Certificate (negative) or a PCR test (this may have changed a few days ago to No Test required)

UK requires everyone to fill out a ‘Passenger locator form’ <2 days before travel.

Also book and Pay for a Covid-19 test (Day 2 test on arrival - i.e. Randox)

no airport, but possibly airlines (emirates now need 48h - that might send trend for the others).

I am sorry, I was mislead by yesterday post - emirates 48h pcr only for departing the UK.

Back home looks like no any need for tests. The uk suspended testing

Sinus test? You mean trigonometry. That's not so important anymore in this age of electronic calculators.
