you may be better going for acyclovir cream or tablets.. the brand you can buy in Thailand is Vilerm...   https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/4335/smpc#gref

You can buy Lysine at any health store and most chemists but the acyclovir goes to the root of the problem regardless of your arginine to lysine ratio.....

I Appreciate that, however - I'm already on Valtrex and I usually put Lysine (or any other topical cream for cold sores) on the Outbreak/Area to lesser the pain. I was told by a doctor, some while ago, that while it's not dangerous to mix Acyclovir Cream + Tablets it's not optimal. Perhaps it's optimal, do you have any insights here?

I remember  when acyclovir was first marketed. It was a medical milestone and is very effective. The OP should consult  a doctor.  Cold sores are Herpes and can be very serious  and are VERY INFECTIOUS.

I'm guessing that you are on a lower dose as to prevent outbreaks.  You might be having a outbreak now and will need to up the Valtrex dosage to 1200 mg  daily for 5 days until the area clears up substantially. The creams do not seem to work very well.

Try Khaoloar Mouth Gel

Khaolaor

I use this one in Thailand, bought easily over the counter at most pharmacies... TRINOLONE ORAL PASTE.

Works very fast.

I use Zovirax, it's not cheap, but it's great at the first feeling of one comming on. Also if you suffer from them, order these cell salts. Calc. Fluor I get them from USA on line from Viticost. Google it they have everything. Takes about 2 or 3 weeks to get to you.

Shop your local pharmacies for Lysine tablets which are now in Thailand. Far superior to creams. In the meantime eat plenty of Lysine rich foods such as cheese.

Although I'm very grateful for your responses, almost all contains a topical cream that equals the medicine I'm already eating.

I'm fully confident my Valtrex will beat the Outbreak but I'm looking for a cream that is not Acyclovir (adjacent to Valtrex to which I'm eating already). Such as https://quantumhealth.com/shop/product/lipclear-lysine-ointment-7g

I used that cream "back home" to make the soars less painful (you can read the description).

Anyways, I'm going to try TRINOLONE ORAL PASTE.

He is not referring toy the amono acid Lysine but rather to a brand of menthol lip ointment called Lysine.

If ordering from abroad (the lazada item is from abroad so stock is not in country) i Herb is best choice and less expensive  https://th.iherb.com/pr/quantum-health-lip-clear-lysine-cold-sore-treatment-25-oz-7-g/6717

But likely OP would like to be able to get this more quickly. The active ingredient is menthol, so Khalaor cream may work.
