No problem there scuba...

In no time they'd be forum regulars complaining about life here in Thailand.

You make a good point, maybe many BMs here are living in that care home now ????

When my time comes I would far rather be in a facility like this in Thailand instead of one in my home country of the U.S.

Coming from a hospital appt, I struck up a conversation with a foreigner in the MRT. He's 87 & navigating his way back home to Sukhumvit. He has a full-time paid caregiver for 20 years. He plans to leave her everything.

When we moved here, we didn't expect to get trapped by Covid, old age & insurance. Most days, I'm resigned that i shall probably never see my loved ones in person again. Fact is, there's no room for me there anyway.

The love doesn't go away if you make the effort to stay in contact. i visited every summer for more than 30 years. They could visit me!

Learning Thai is great for dementia...

The visas are a problem. Is assisted living not the same as medical tourism? How about making it easy on oldsters.

It is just sad that those people were too stupid to move to Thailand before it was too late...

I have little use for this "Would you send" premise. I expect from my parents that they take care of making their own arrangements - based on their own preferences, not mine - while they're still in a position to do so. And they did. Same with me, I wouldn't want anyone to send me - anywhere! I've made arrangements and I'll keep updating them as needed.

Marketing is all in Thai so presumably full of Thais, not sure that's ideal for English speaking people that have never been to Thailand especially if have dementia and the like

If they have dementia they probably don't care if they speak English. It would be more about acting friendly and quality of care.
