House electrical cable theft

Yes, stayed at my other property and returned to move some stuff and the cables from the meter box to the house had been cut and taken, around 5 meters worth.  Cut  estimated 10Dec21, report filed end of Dec21, Local police files a report and sent 3 detectives with us straight away, quite impressive.  There was talk about some

thief that recently got out of jail who likes this kind of thing, but no news as yet.  As for the PEA, local office laughed on the phone.....

Since then contacted the PEA call center which most staff seem to have a bad sleep routine....  PEA went onsite to inspect what they could clearly see in my photos.  Meter reader did not report nothing, but lucky the live cut cables hanging down did not fry his testicles, but he still managed to read the meter and charge the fee.....  several emails and calls, and the call center keep saying the issue will be forwarded to the correct department....  its a typical circus event.  If its true why dont they simply sent a notice stating that outside the meterbox is all your responsibility, done, instead of this silly unmerrygoround...

Anyways, has anyone had this happen and what was the result please?
