You think the murderer is some tough guy but his life is also destroyed now. Smart move.

I’ve never experienced such here.... Thai’s are generally indifferent to everyone else around them & more often than not as a foreigner we’ll be treated more favourably (thats my experience at least). Thai's would be the target of attack or assault in the same situation. But usually a ‘warning comes first’... such examples are rife in the Thai news. ‘these practices’ ??? you are making stuff up.... Thai’s don’t care about us (foreigners) any more or less than anyone else around them. IF we or Thai’s behave poorly we will be judged and potentially dealt with accordingly, just as Thai’s judge other Thai’s. Just don’t run your mouth and act like a tool. The same rules apply to us as Thai’s..... Agree 100% Thais are no more racist than any other humans. Foreigners who might believe that likely <deleted> off a Thai. There is something quite perverse about categorising an individual by random photos from their Facebook account, without any form of context to them, not knowing them personally, and whilst they are lying critically injured in hospital. I note that you don't post the many photos of him enjoying pleasant meals with his friends, or beach side visits with his girlfriend (I'm friends with some of his friends and hence know). You write you could say more, but anything you do say is only conjecture and imagination. 7

Neighbour has enough attacks the group. This story has been repeated numerous times in Thailand, it usually ends up with gun-shots. ------ The guys drinking were certainly inconsiderate of those around them, but no one deserved to die or to be on the wrong end of a grievous attack. And the problem with too much to drink is losing common sense and inability to think clearly.

Kiwithl
If there was loud music I wonder if the wife of murdered man and/or girlfriend of injured man told them to stop, now! People want to sleep, go to work in morning... (I've been told once or twice and did as I was told). Or perhaps the two victims are the type to disregard even their spouses advice/orders? I know some farangs would tell their wife/gf to shut the fruck up or perhaps fruck off beech and continue to annoy others. Obviously in this case I have no idea... bendejo
Let's not rush to judgement now. Any mention of what music the farang were playing? It could have been The Eagles, which would turn this into a case of justifiable homicide.

varun
The idiotic Brit tourist should have known better than to play loud music at 3 am, and antagonise a lower-class Thai male on top of that. He joins an ever-growing line of farangs hacked/slashed to death by a Thai male, over something trivial that quickly escalated to gargantuan proportions. 1

Where are you getting your information from... This was not an antagonism or an argument that escalated via confrontation into violence and then and unfortunately murder. Two guys were sat drinking beer, neighbours (nearby residents) have reported they couldn’t hear anything. A mentally deranged guy who should have been in supervised care attacked them without warning. 2
