Benjakitti Forest Park Opening Date & Current Access Points

Featured Replies

Hi,

It was reported late last year that the new extended Benjakitti Forest Park would be fully opened this month. I have searched online but can't find any update. One site mentioned April? Does anyone know when it will be fully opened?

I know that parts of the new extended park have been already open for a few months. I believe that it has limited access points. I tired entering from the existing park side but the gate was closed. Does anyone know from which gate/location the currently open part of the new park can be accessed from?

Thanks.

Quite a few longish threads here already...the new park is being developed in phases (5?), with two or three at or near conmpletion

Access via the green mile to Soi 10 (there is a walkway into the new park from the green mile at Duang Phitak Rd. but not sure if that's open yet), from Ratchadapisek Road/the old/existing lake portion, maybe up from Rama 4 into the old lake park.

Can enter from end of Soi 10 then keep walking straight past temp control alongside old Benjakirti and the park area of its extension. Time to time I did find the new park entrance closed (will see it from afar),, may be when major works are (still) ongoing in new park with heavy machines. It does close at 5PM.

Alternatively from Ratchadapisek Benjakirti main entrance then walk straight out of it and turn left alongside it.

The Green lane connection is still closed but the elevated walkway is pretty much finished.

The main entrance on Duang Phitak Rd. by the Amphitheatre and the one at the end of Soi 4 are still closed.

Great youtube video.  Can you inline skate in the park?
