14 countries accept Vietnam's vaccine passport

With four more countries accepting Vietnam's vaccine passport, the total number has gone up to 14, foreign ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang said Thursday.

The four new countries are Egypt, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Turkey. By Jan. 20, Australia, Belarus, Cambodia, India, Japan, Maldives, Palestine, the Philippines, the U.K. and the U.S. already accepted Vietnam's vaccine passport.

Other partners are dealing with some technical matters before confirming their acceptance, she added, without elaborating.
