Saudi Airlines to resume direct flights to Thailand on February 28

Saudi Arabian Airlines will resume direct flights to Thailand next Monday, as part of the move to restore full diplomatic ties which were frozen for three decades, Government Spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana said this morning (Monday).

 

He did not, however, specify whether this will be the start of scheduled flights or, if so, how many flights per week the Saudi airline will operate between the two countries. He did say that the Thai government expects that up to 200,000 Saudis may visit Thailand this year, which is expected to help the country earn up to 20 billion baht in tourism revenue this year.

 

The flight on February 28th, which is about three months ahead of the original schedule, is attributed to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s official visit to Riyadh on January 25th, which resulted in the renewal of diplomatic ties.

Actually, I saw a couple of middle eastern boys riding around Arab Town on a Hayabusa today. 

 

Pity the Thais that go to work in Saudi, it's THE worst country on the planet. 

And Saudi Airlines is the worst airline on earth.

No pretties, all male crew.

NO BOOZE, bloody horrendous. 

I've had more damaged luggage than any other airline.

where he officially anounced - my guess-  to those  expected 200.000 saudis that  their jewellery will no longer be stolen!

Not sure about the attractiveness of female cabin crew or why that effects their ability to do their job but that statement is not true.
 

Saudi women were not permitted to work as such, but non Saudi women were.

 

As it stands now Saudi women, due to recent law changes, can also work as cabin crew.
