Rescue workers at the scene took ten minutes to cut out the driver of a red Mercedes Benz. Attharsirot, 42, was taken to a local hospital. One hundred meters away was the remains of a four wheel Toyota truck that had been driven by Jatuporn, 34, with four construction workers in the back. The occupants had already been taken to hospital. A construction official told the media that the head on collision occurred as the workers were returning to living quarters. The truck was turning as the collision happened. Police in the area are investigating.
