Kinokuniya Book Store

Featured Replies

I used to buy books online from Kinkuniya.
I am trying to send them an order as I don't live in Bangkok but get a "403 Forbidden" message whichever browser I use.

Does anyone know why this should happen ?
Does anyone have a contact address for them or a suitable alternative book store ?

I opened with Chrome just now, using that URL.

Here's the telephone number of their head office:

Using Chrome, I can get all the way to the payment page of the checkout process.

Is it possible that you have disabled cookies for the site?

Have opened with IP in Thailand/Singapore/Oz so perhaps your IP is the problem - if you have VPN available might try that - or disconnect from your provider to get a new IP address?

Send them the order by e-mail. They will accept it. I've done it many times because I usually buy very rare books that are not in stock.

OP - could you please give me the email address you used ?

I used to have monthly updates of books from them sent to my old email address, I advised them of my new address but heard nothing more from them.
Like you I enjoy old books which are often not in stock

OP - many thanks Gaccha for details.
I found that logging in to my email account via Google browser worked whereas other browsers still give the 403 warning message.

Kino have 2 of the 4 books I am looking for the other 2 are 2nd hand only and may not be available.

If they don't have in stores, they may have in their warehouse. If not, they can order worldwide. They have never failed to find a copy of the books I order. It can take a month for an import.
