Should check out Villa or ICONSIAM and see the 2000 baht strawberries and 1200 lettuce.

So not only the taxis rip you off

No Russian and Chinese bus tourist to buy the fruit.  So only one thing to do when there are no sales, raise the price.

I have a Thai friend who has a mangosteen farm in Phang Nga.  I have visited there many times so I know that the season for mangosteen is in May.

Any idea where this mangosteen originated from?

It is a common dooryard tree in Indonesia.

I never know the prices, my gf does most of the shopping at the fresh market.

What I know is that the prices vary a lot, I guess depending on availability.

The first fruits of the season are always very expensive, that is absolutely normal.

But I have no idea which fruit season it is in the moment...
