First UK Lawmaker Resigns from Labour Party, Accuses PM of Hypocrisy
She clearly has principals, and labour has already showed that it cares nothing for the views of any of the electorate -

Used car market in a jam as electric vehicles spark trouble
I think that's going to change, very soon. As people realize not only cheaper to buy in, but cheaper to operate & maintain. People can't stay ignorant forever. If you're going to spend 500k or more, do you really want a used vehicle vs a new one. Spend 600k or 700k, and you're beyond entry level / get what you pay for specs. I know where my baht would go 😎 -

How many here on the Farang Pub hope to die in Thailand?
In my final years I plan on returning to my home country. I was born in my home country and I'll die in my home country. Plus I feel I might have a lot of medical bills toward the end of my life and in my home country my medical/healthcare is 100% free. This way I can make sure my son receives all of my money, instead of giving it all to a Thai Hospital. -

Trump Watches
Don't take Rolex, please. Rolex is the epitome of a bad example, when it comes to value for price of wristwatches. Designing the Trump watch took no more than one day at most. Its components, starting from the wristband, look like standard, machined parts, available off-the-shelf ($3,900 in 18k gold on eBay 18K Yellow Gold President Watch Band Strap For Rolex 26MM Datejust President | eBay). The tourbillon timepiece manufactured by Olivier Mory retails for CHF 23,100 ($27,400) and it is certainly not manufactured at scale (Maëlstrom - Skill Watches). -

Australian Aged Pension
I think he's just delusional. He actually thinks proposed tax rules are valid and that the ATO is going to set up an international task force to catch a few old pensioners living in Thailand on aged pension 😉 -

NOTICE TO MEMBERS
Since the takeover six months ago, the forum has undergone significant changes. While it’s not the forum it once was—and that's a good thing—changes in management, improvements in technical resources and a new team of moderators have made it better. Yet, many of you complain about the lack of topics while contributing very little yourself. You expect to be spoon-fed, taking everything the forum offers while giving only negative toxic comments in return. Trolls exist in any online community. Until they are identified, we give them the benefit of the doubt, just like anyone else. Once identified, they are removed. We can’t monitor every post around the clock, so we rely on you to report any issues. Be part of the solution, not the problem. The derogatory comments aimed at our news, sponsors and advertorials are unjustified and disrespectful. Even worse are the inflammatory remarks on articles related to charitable foundations. If you have nothing positive to say, move on. There are plenty of other topics and forums for you to vent on. This forum is free for you to use. Many of you have enjoyed it for years and repaid us with accusations and attacks. We're drawing the line here. We are committed to a respectful and supportive environment. Constructive feedback and healthy discussions are welcome, but persistent negativity and toxic behaviour will not be tolerated. If you’re so dissatisfied, perhaps it’s time to find another platform. The internet is a big place. The forum is evolving in a very positive way and we won’t let a few bad apples, our sour old men, spoil the hard work that goes into it. -

Billy Eilish's "Birds of a Feather" - is it better than anything by the Beatles?
You just don't get it! Sixty plus years ago, before the Beatles, popular music was dominated by America and was mainly about R & R and Blues. Lyrically, this music was in a phase of Do wah diddy diddy, dum diddy Do, Leader of the Pack and Tutti Frutti. Music was more about dance, volume and beat. The Beatles took the world on a Helter Skelter, Magical Mystery Tour in a Yellow Submarine through Lucy's Diamond Skies. Sgt Pepper came along with his band in case they needed Help with the Fool on The Hill and his Money. Nobody had ever written lyrics that told such fantastic tales before, and it was accompanied by groundbreaking harmonies, musical devices and sounds. They started the Revolution that took music lyrics away from simplistic love themes into a world of storytelling. Eilish and her brother may have written a better love lyric in your eyes, but they haven't reinvented the whole music industry and changed it forever to a higher plane. The Beatles did. Music these days is very focused on lyrics and of course some weave fantastic stories of modern life. However, one recent song with a lyric that touches one soppy poster on social media doesn't override the Beatles genius and legacy in music. Incidentally, I consider "What Was I Made For" to be a better Eilish song. -

EC dismisses complaints for party dissolution, insufficient evidence
I sort of agree but IMO it doesn't matter how big the brown envelopes are. Thaksin was brought back for a reason. If PTP are ever seen to go against their masters in any way that threatens the power, the wealth or the status quo of the royalist military establishment the axe will fall. -
