Ukraine has made 'breakthroughs' in Kherson region, Russian-installed official says

Reuters) - Ukrainian forces have made some breakthroughs in the southern Kherson region and taken control of some settlements, a Russian-installed official said on Monday.

Ukrainian officials have been tight-lipped about the scale of their counter-offensive in the south, but Russian military bloggers have described Ukrainian tanks advancing along the bank of the Dnipro river.

Russia formally moved to annex four Ukrainian territories last week, including Kherson region, but none are fully under the control of Moscow's forces and Ukraine continues to wage a counter-offensive in the south and east.

Kadyrov says he’s sending his three sons (14, 15 and 16 years old) to the front in Ukraine. If that is true, he’s an even bigger a-hole than I thought and his sons will be so grateful! Not.

But somehow I suspect they won’t see any action and will be kept far from any danger. Can’t have any sons of the great Chechen leader go home in a body bag, or missing an arm or a leg, now can we?

Yep, child soldiers now being openly recruited direct from Kadyrov himself

Was reading in an overseas news paper about a train from Russia that is linked to moving nuclear ammo for the Russian defense agency.

If that proves to be true it could have big implications.

That is something i will follow closely.

Putin has threatened the West with nuclear strikes on many occasions over Ukraine, ever since he warned the US about stationing missile defences there in 2008.  Then again in 2014, if Ukraine tried to retake Crimea.

Yet he has caved in on every instance.

Though we should be mindful of the possibility, we should also keep the latest threat in context of his past behaviour.

Are Vladimir Putin’s nuclear threats a bluff? In a word – probably

"Since the invasion of Ukraine, the Kremlin has waggled its nuclear arsenal so many times it’s starting to become tedious. Even the most peripheral slight is apparently fair game, like former President Dmitry Medvedev’s invocation of nuclear retaliation if the International Criminal Court (ICC) pursued war crimes investigations against Russian soldiers".

Putin fooled the whole world. Experts thought that Russia had one of the top three armies in the world. But even Ukraine can defeat them. This is now a “tremendous opportunity” to obliterate the Russian threat, once and for all. US And NATO must put feet on the ground, before winter (unlike Hit***).

Maybe that can be followed up with similar action against the communists. They have not fought any major wars in the last few decades. They won’t be combat ready.

World order will be restored.

Kadyrov his new general "the bloodhound"as he is also called will

not be able to turn the tide.

The Russian army is too far gone and shortage of all kinds of arms.

Yes the Ukrainian army still needs good weapons from the West but

Putin is now the biggest supplier of arms for the Ukraine.
