The second special ASEAN-US summit has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts among ASEAN participants, according to an informed source.

The source said that the proposed dates of March 28th and 29th, announced by the White House on March 1st, were considered “inconvenient” due to the tight schedules of various ASEAN leaders.

After President Joe Biden proposed last October that a special summit be held in Washington DC in the first quarter of this year, during the ASEAN-related summits, both sides tried unsuccessfully to agree on common dates.

Yes, that's fully understandable, the tinpot kleptocrats running most of the ASEAN dictatorships are bound have much busier diaries than the leader of the Free World. [:rolleyes]

Or are they perhaps terrified that ol' Joe might ask them to actually do something positive against Russia in support of Ukraine? Uncle Xi wouldn't be happy if they did that, so it's safest for them to just stick their heads in the sand, as usual.

Typical falang rhetoric. Nothing to do with heads in the sand, the safest thing for ASEAN is protect their largest trading agreement.

Only rabid dogs bite the hand that feeds them.
