Sanook Thai Caption: Top numbers (for the lottery) will make you rich

Sanook went to Khok Mor sub-district in Ratchaburi in central Thailand where locals are convinced that an unusual banana tree will give them the numbers in the state lottery.

The tree was cut down but still sprouted six combs of bananas from the trunk.

Locals have been praying to it and wrapping three colored cloth around it.

Sunee at house number 19/3 in Moo 5 had cut it down but noted that the Kluay Horm (the big banana variety) refused to die.

The problem is that it has been hard to decide exactly how many bananas are there. So 6 is being touted as a likely number.

One "expert" went for 986 or maybe 968.

The lottery will be drawn this afternoon.

that happened to my banana once

Me and the missus have been using bananas for years in our lottery number pic's i.e. we squish bananas into eat others faces and count the pieces that fall to the floor ... we are certain this is a foolproof method of eventually winning big.

So if these numbers are true, then first prize will be divided up amongst all 345,786,995 winners

The mind boggles

Now I understand.
Last week, a few ladies were sitting around my banana and calling out numbers.
