Getting tatts
I like a man who knows how to stroke and is at the top of his craft. It's a skill learned and honed over years and decades. If you want a job done right and all that. A man knows what he needs and he has plenty of them. If you need a job done and can't be bothered hiring help each time, ahelping hand is only a foot away. It's time to get to work. -

Essential Driving Rules and Etiquette in Thailand
If you have a License from your home country then you can get a Thai license, with just a medical and reaction tests, and spend an hour watching some old vid, and some LTO even with a Tourist visa. Must take courses in a driving school is false information you can take the test at a LTO with no lessons. -

Staying abroad, change your mobile phone, how to keep the Thai bank apps working?
If PEA is your power provider, you can just take a photo of the bar code on an old bill and keep it in your phone and then use that to pay the bill with KBank app. That worked for me a couple of years ago when the PEA meter reader left the neighbor's bill in our mailbox and our's was lost. With the KBank mobile app for MEA bills one just needs to set up a Payment transfer favorite for MEA with the contract account and each month the bill amount appears within the KBank app to pay. There is no need to even see the bill or do any bar coding. -

Activisit questions Paetongtarn’s resignation from family firms
Political activist Ruangkrai Leekitwattana has pressed the Election Commission (EC) to investigate whether Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra properly resigned from executive positions in 20 family-owned companies before her election. Ruangkrai questioned if Paetongtarn adhered to the Department of Business Development’s procedures when stepping down from roles in firms associated with her family. Failure to resign appropriately would violate Section 187 of the constitution, which prohibits ministers from holding over 5% of shares in a commercial firm or being employed by a private company. Ruangkrai also examined Deputy Interior Minister Sabida Thaised’s resignation from her executive post and shareholdings in a private firm following her appointment. He noted that Sabida, daughter of former Deputy Interior Minister Chada Thaised, appeared to have complied with the stipulated procedures, raising further questions about Paetongtarn’s case. Ruangkrai emphasised he was merely exercising his rights under Sections 41 and 50 of the constitution and respected the decisions made by independent public agencies. Last month, Ruangkrai petitioned the poll agency to investigate the prime minister’s status, questioning the date of the 38 year old PM’s resignation from the family companies. Paetongtarn was elected prime minister by the House of Representatives on August 16, succeeding Srettha Thavisin, who was dismissed from office by Thailand's Constitutional Court. In his petition, Ruangkrai asked the EC whether Paetongtarn had resigned from all executive roles in the family’s companies by August 15, and why those resignations were registered on August 19, three days post-election. Ruangkrai claimed Paetongtarn authorised a close aide to handle the resignation documents on August 15, just a day after the Constitutional Court dismissed Srettha from office. The documents were submitted to the Department of Business Development on August 19, reported Bangkok Post. “Paetongtarn gave her aide the authority to do this just one day after the Constitutional Court ruled to dismiss Srettha from office.” by Puntid Tantivangphaisal Photo courtesy of Bangkok Post Source: The Thaiger -- 2024-09-24 -

Lawyer Warns Entire Paetongtarn Cabinet Faces Impeachment Risk
That should read: A lawyer is excited to tell the people that there is hope that the lackeys of Thaksin will be impeached and removed. Obviously, we don't know if it will happen, but even the fact that it would happen is something to celebrate. Next, lock up that convicted criminal again.- 1

Thanks Charlie. Very informative. Perhaps we should translate it into Thai and make some pamphlets to hand out to the Thais to read also.- 1

Rotterdam Stabbing Rampage Knifeman shouted "Allahu Akbar"
Atypical right of centre misinformation. Following URL provides the facts. e.g. The U.S. Department of State, opens new tab in its “2022 Report on International Religious Freedom: Japan” quoted Hirofumi Tanada of Waseda University in Tokyo saying that, as of 2020, there were approximately 230,000 Muslims in the country, including around 47,000 citizens. https://www.reuters.com/fact-check/online-list-japans-restrictions-islam-includes-false-claims-2023-12-08/ -

14-Year-Old Girl Fatally Stabs Grandmother Following Heated Argument
In SE Asia age has always, until recently obviously, demanded respect. In the west it's put the old folks in a home so we don't have to be bothered with taking care of them. Here it used to he they were looked after by the family. And I never saw anywhere in the article said she was an alcoholic. She enjoyed a daily drink, like many on this board.
