Phuket Thai Pass transportation requirement

Featured Replies

I read for Thai Pass need to book one night with the hotel + transportation with "same"  hotel (for Phuket the PCR test booked separately for airport arrival testing, and ATK test kit can be bought at airport or at hotel later).

But I called a couple of Phuket hotels and they say I can just pick up a Thai Pass approved taxi at the airport and no need to book in advance ...!

Will that work to get Thai Pass application approval for arriving directly at Phuket airport...?

I got a taxi from the airport the same as usual. The hotel offered a taxi but it was overpriced so I just got a regular taxi for 800.

FWIW, this was in January and it was not a requirement to enter any transportation details for the Thai Pass.

Phuket may be slightly different as it was initially in the ‘Sandbox’ and theoretically all taxi’s are considered SHA+  and thus dedicated ’SHA+' transport from the hotel was not a required submission for application.

I’ve not applied for a Test & Go package in Phuket - but assume some overlap with the SandBox system.

i.e. that the Test & Go package is booked (but does not specifically include PCR test and Transport).

The arrival PCR Test is booked through the PSAS site (https://www.thailandpsas.com/SignIn) and the PCR test is taken upon arrival at the airport.

It's a great option not to bother with taxi booking in advance, has anyone got a Thai Pass recently without booking transport for Phuket...!?

I'm guessing the Thai Pass application guys enquire this when emailing the hotel to confirm...

I did not have a taxi booking when I applied last week because the Four Points in Patong was going to charge 1,100 baht. Interestingly, my hotel wasn't prepaid and is cancellable (although they have my credit card).

When I applied for my Thai Pass I included nothing about a taxi. The Pass was approved in 5 days. It was my 5th COE/Thai Pass. Why it took 5 days since I submitted the same insurance, passport, etc. is beyond me. I'll use www.vecayphuket.com for my taxi from the airport.
