Thai Airways (International) - Advanced Passenger Information (API)?

Featured Replies

The last time that I flew, two years ago, most airlines required Advanced Passenger Information be submitted before flight.

I shall be flying LHR-BKK-LHR on Thai Inter this month but cannot find any requirement to provide API for the journey either way. Can't find any reference on their website.

Can any recent flyers from UK confirm that API is not required? Just check-in with e-tickets and valid passports?

OK. No responses

A different tack. Has anyone flying on any airline from UK to Thailand recently been required to submit API on-line or has the only requirement at check-in been Passport, E-Ticket Thai Pass and Vaccination Certificate?

My wife flew with Emirates via Dubai at the end of Feb' 2022.

I don't believe we needed anything re API. We added an additional  contact number - my tel' number.

When we got to Heathrow she just needed her Thai Pass documentation, usual print-out of booking confirmation, passport ( check-in staff obv' reviewed all ).

I've just changed the return flight today and no additional info' was requested.

Regards

Note: My wife is Thai, but I don't think that changes anything.

Flew to Phuket last October and home last month with Thai - no airline-specific documentation needed. IIRC they just used my passport for inputting their system and didn't even look at my ticket.

On the morning that I came home I got a reminder to catch my flight ????

Thank you gentlemen for your inputs. I  still find it odd that an airline e-ticket can be purchased on-line using a name only and no ID input.
