And so the Dictatorship begins....
Oh please., Jan 6 while stupid was less damaging and less costly and less of a worry then any 1 of the single "mostly peaceful protests" I am sure the police free zones in Seattle were also less disturbing to our democracy then the Jan 6 fake news insurrection. If it was a true insurrection where were all the guns? why was the only person who actually died that day a female veteran shot by the capital police? But that doesn't fit the narrative that the left wants to push or that you have bought into. -

Spike in American's interest in moving abroad post election -- hot air yet again?
After reading the first page of posts, this appears to be a US politics topic, so under forum guidelines I've moved it to Political Soapbox. -

Seven Injured as Farm Truck Plunges 15 Metres Off Cliff in Lampang
The incident occurred on the evening of November 11 when a farm truck, locally known as an “e-tan,” lost control and plunged down a 15 metre cliff in Wang Nuea district, Lampang. The incident took place on a remote agricultural road in Ban Huai Pai, Wang Kaeo subdistrict. Around 19:00 officers from Wang Nuea Police Station received an emergency call reporting that a farm truck had fallen off a steep embankment, resulting in multiple injuries. Police, along with emergency responders from Wang Nuea Hospital, Thung Hua subdistrict administrative organisation rescue team, and Wang Nuea Rescue Unit, promptly arrived at the scene to provide aid. Upon arrival, responders found the overturned truck, which had been loaded with corn, lying at the bottom of the 15 metre near vertical drop. Seven people were injured, six women and one man. Three of the victims were reported to be in a critical condition, with life threatening injuries. Preliminary investigations revealed that the farm truck had been returning from agricultural land, where it had picked up villagers from a local farming area. As the vehicle was navigating the narrow, uneven road, the driver suddenly lost control and rolled down the cliffside, resulting in the injuries. Authorities are continuing their investigation to understand the exact cause of the crash. Picture from responders. -- 2024-11-12 -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
The SSc payments are free and clear but the business profits need to thought. Is that money income, dividend payment, a Gift, support or is it investment return? The way in which you classify those payments by your son determines their assessability. On the surface, I would say a tax return is needed, unless those funds are a gift. -

Elon Musk’s Estranged Daughter Seeks New Life Abroad After Trump Victory
One last email to Dad: "Please send me $145,000 so I can buy the 20 year Elite Visa for Thailand". I'm certian he can afford it. For once I would like those who are leaving America because of Donald Trump to state where they will go and how long they will stay. Former Trump lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen said he is leaving but did not state where and for how long? He was rambling about how he might get a new passport with a different name? Ah, Mr Lawyer that might be illegal?
