Advice on car purchase Toyota
I have brought 2 second hand cars, one in Bangkok, and one near Pattaya, both using the site one2one cars, both from "Tent" dealers, I have only good things to say, never had a problem with either, they have to keep their reputation, they are very good at detailing the cars they all look brand new, I always go by how many kilometers on the clock and not necessary the year, check to see if the service history is up to date, and if you notice any problems, like a worn tire point it out and the spare, jack and wheel brace is there, ask for an oil change too. Last one I brought was for the missus, and the dealer not only put it in my name for me (pink card/yellow book) but as I didn't want my wife driving it back from Pattaya, they delivered it to Koh Chang ferry bang on time the day after, not extra charge. -

What’s the best area in Thailand for expats to settle for long-term living?
But if someone lives in The Truman Show Bounded by Walking Street, Soi Buakhao, and Soi 6, he might appreciate being shown the larger world outside. And in your case, you've also been unable to see any non-bar girls even inside the Show. What a world where, for example, even supermarket cashiers are invisible. You hand your money over to air, it floats over the register, and your change floats back out to your hands. Many motorbikes have no riders, like The Invisible Man's bicycle: So even within The Truman Show, we have The Twilight Zone: Can't imagine. What if you're shown a video of girls--the vast majority of girls in Pattaya--working in the malls, restos, hotels, dept stores, convenience stores, real estate, tourism, transportation, supermarkets, condos, schools, hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, countless shops, and various other businesses? Will your Eyeballs (or Prescient Eyeballs, in the case of our authoritative Prognosticators) magically erase them like the new AI eraser in Photoshop? Guess it'd be futile to show you, then. -

What does this do?
They are burying electrical cables in the streets as a prelude to supposedly eliminating the electric lines and poles around the inside and outside moat roads. Without the poles, the transformers have to go somewhere.....so I too would guess that is what the electrical boxes contain. Sadly, there are spots where they've placed the electrical boxes on the sidewalks where there is no more room to walk on the sidewalk (a perfectly pathetic example of that is in front of Wat Dok Kham on Moon Muang north of Thaphae Gate). -

BYD Seal tips, tricks and help
that's a good question, hard to say. i estimate the byd seal 2025 will be seen at the earliest at the motor show in march 2025 in thailand ... hong kong also has left-hand traffic, and the first advertisements for the byd sea lion 07 are currently running. sales for this car is likely to start soon. as for the byd seal 2025, there’s no sign of it in hong kong yet ... i do believe that hong kong will sell new byd models before thailand ... -

Switching from Non-Immigrant OA to Non-Immigrant O on basis of Retirement
1st Nov 2019 was the date they introduced the mandatory Health Insurance requirement for Non Imm 0-A visa applications. At that time there was a lot of discussion whether it would also apply to extensions applications from new entries on an O-A, and/or for those already on extensions from a previous 0-A visa, the consensus being the new requirement would be grandfathered and only apply to new extension applications from Nov 2019. Immigration subsequently issued a new order making the requirement retrospectively, effectively backdating the requirement to apply to all extension applications from all 0-A visa entries.- 1

Starmer Asserts Control Amid Internal Turmoil Over Sue Gray’s Salary Dispute
So based on a piece of anti-Labour rhetoric from Conservative Central Office's propaganda unit (aka The Daily Telegraph), the Labour Party which has been in power for 3 months, has a parliamentary majority of 174 and does not need to call an election until 2029, is under pressure and is about to ditch its' leader. Sound reasoning or wishful thinking on the part of the anti-Labour lobby?
