Withdrawls from Thai banks

Featured Replies

Can a designated Thai person be given permission to withdraw money from my bank account ?
I am not here on a marriage visa but wish a long term close friend of 20 years to be able to withdraw funds from my KBank accounts in an emergency.

Depends how much you're talking about because the obvious way which doubtless others are currently thinking is give him/her your Debit card

Frankly it goes on worldwide on a daily basis

You can make a joint account with them and keep some emergency funds in there. You can also set up internet/mobile banking and transfer money direct to their account anywhere you are in the world if you have an active Thai SIM or disable OTP for transfers below a certain amount.

Why don't you let him open an bank account and send the money to that account? With a banking App he will have it in seconds.

Usually you can get a 2nd card, give them that.

or talk to the bank, a power of attorney would give him authority on the bank account
