Phuket entertainment businesses call for legal 2AM closing time

Phuket – Phuket entertainment businesses are calling for a legal closing time extension to 2:00 A.M..

 

A meeting was held yesterday (May 26th) at the Phuket City Hall led by the Phuket Vice Governor Arnuparb Yodkwan and the president of the Patong Entertainment Business Association Mr. Weerawit Krueasombat and other relevant officials and agencies.

Mr. Weerawit stated at the meeting, “It is a good news from June 1st that entertainment businesses will be legally allowed to open until midnight. However, this will still not fulfill nightlife tourist’s satisfaction. The closing time needs to be extended legally to 2A.M. Foreign tourists on holiday do not want to call it a night at midnight.”
