I need to get a Thai record of my criminal convictions (lack thereof), from the Thai police, for a visa application overseas. Similar to UK ACRO which I have done in the past for Thai visas.

Has anyone done this in Thailand? How do you do it? Can you use an agent or is it something you need to do your self?

You can just go to the Police Clearance Service Center (inside police headquarters), across the road from the Erawan Shrine. You fill out your details on a form, they take a photo and your fingerprints. The report can then be picked up after two weeks.

Did it a few years ago (OMG.....17 years ago!!!) and was asked at the time to enclose a 500 baht note and I was given a private address to send my application to!!!!

Certificate arrived...no problems.

Isn´t it peculiar how money seems to do that little thing?
