Actually the UK has ramped up its gas and oil exports to the EU after Russia's invasion. It has its own resources in the North Sea and previously only imported 3% of its gas from Russia

I would have a sportsman bet with you, Boris will win the next UK  election

So this means not just a Tory victory, but one headed by Johnson?

President Zelensky has to be the absolute best leader in the world at present. Boris is likely seeking to get a bounce of any association with Ukraine. When is Biden (and others) going to meet Zelensky and show support in person for Ukraine?

I think Boris is a top world leader and he is showing more support for Ukraine than any other world leader. But really he's got to do something about his hair.

According to this article the UK has given about 2.3 billion pounds to Ukraine. There's also a 700 billion pound loan. So far the USA has given about 54 billion dollars of aid to ukraine. So that means the USA has given about 18 times as much as the UK. US GDP is about 7.75 times as big as the UK's. So, any way you slice it, it's Biden showing the most support for Ukraine. At least where it counts. But BJ is way ahead on theatrics.

Here is the list by GDP although it includes both military aid and humanitarian aid, there are other charts in the link that have that but not by GDP

This is for total support for military aid not taking into account GDP

And [Biden] has never got off his butt once to visit the Ukraine, but can fly to Saudi Arabia and beg for oil that America has plenty of..

700 billion sounds like a lot of money from the UK, even if described as a 'loan'.

Where he could have made an important photo op. Maybe he could also fly to Korea and take a stroll with Kim Jong Un.

America may have plenty of oil but as you clearly don't recall, the price of oil has been very low for the past several years so not a lot of inducement to drill. You may find this hard to believe but oil companies are mainly in it for the money. Not so much for the joy of drilling. For natural gas the situation was even worse. Do you think you can just plug a spigot into the ground and oil or gas comes gushing out?

That does sound like quite a lot. 700 million sounds a lot more like it. Thanks for catching the error.

My comment about Johnson actually had a point. At the end of the day it's the how much a country gives Ukraine that's going to count, not how much its leader loves Ukraine.

I am kind of surprised to see Greece so high up on that list.

Because it's GDP adjusted and Greece doesn't make anything except feta cheese, olive oil and togas, which have fallen out of fashion lately.

Well, actually, in that case it's even more impressive since they have so little but give relatively so much. Especially considering that they don't even come close to sharing a border with Russia and aren't directly threatened by it.

the absolute disrespect towards the Ukrainian Leader is manifest here.

Zelensky ready for battle. That ... Johnson turns up looking rumpled because he thinks the Billy Bunter image works well for his domestic idiot audience.

I will leave it there as I am so furious. But if the Ukrainians really think they have a friend in ... Johnson, they might be in for a rude awakening...

Fury about some sort of disrespect to the Leader of a corrupt and badly governed old soviet, but happily spews a constant barrage of foul abuse at Boris.
Sheer hypocrisy?

Why not try to reply to what I have said in the form of an argument.

You understood perfectly what I had to say.

You had nothing to say of any merit, just abuse of Boris.
