We were down there on Thursday last week and were ushered into the bar "Deja Vu" which is opposite Long Gun. The girl at the front said there'd be a show on in five minutes, then changed it to three minutes. I didn't believe her, but two mates persuaded me to do so and pop in. Ten or fifteen minutes later a girl walked around the bar with a sign saying 'lesbian show five minutes.' Ten minutes later, they walked around with the same sign. Son after that, I left.

Patpong is a dive where everyone should expect (look forward) to get ripped off in any of a selection a ways. Cowboy is more for expats and tourists who might know better. I've been to Cowboy (and Nana, which is probably somewhere between the two with regards to types of punters and service) hundreds of times, yet never had this happen to me. as I've mentioned, it's the norm in Patpong, but those visiting Patpong and needing warnings may not be on Thai Visa. However, there are plenty of expats on here and I just thought I'd let them know.

jdinasia, thank you for your kind words. As it happens, they sell Chang draft in there for 70B, so it really wasn't the end of the world. This thread was started as a service/warning and not as a rant. I thought that maybe any replies may have been of similar experiences or something constructive.

I wasn't having a pop, I just didn't know.

Only ever been to Cowboy once, one drink and out, never went again.

Been a few times to Nana and many times to PP but generally to the music bars, honest, and have never been ripped off, that I know of.

In one of my early trips to Bangers a Resident told me exactly what you have said, that Cowboy was much safer than PP.
