In Thailand an indoor grow using imported hybrid seeds could not exceed 25bht/gm in grow costs. Anything on top of that would be profit/greed.

1/2 gram does the trick ... so all of ฿7 for a buzz that lasts a few hours with a very peaceful sleep throw in.

Agree, 1gm is the correct size for a joint, these cones are exactly 1gm each.

People from N. America don't roll cone-style joints.

 

One paper (regular size, not over-sized) joints are preferred, but many still don't use filter ( nasty. twisted at both ends). I do. Learned from Euro-style joints.

 

That picture is Euro-style (UK included). I learned how to roll 3 paper (regular size) joints from an English GF 40 years ago. (Euro people know what style I'm talking about). Not cone-shaped though, straight.

Gold or Red   you pay your money and take a chance, there is no "official" grading based on the colour of the wrapper. The last lump I bought was Red   very nice too   not a seed in sight,,  Prior to that I got the Gold one pretty much the same but a few more seeds.   Its all outdoor gown, in very large quantities, I don't think in general anybody has the time or the inclination to sort it or grade it before it goes into the compactor, There is good and bad in both colours but generally its pretty much the same, you would be unlucky to get very bad and lucky to get very good.

while going through it before i have found a few times where the stuff was layered in. 

 

the outside layer was bigger buds with little to no seed but when you dug deep into the middle you noticed it got way more seedy (pun intended) and much smaller bud. 

 

i think this was done so when people tested it and ripped off a corner or peeled back a layer it would still look the same.

could be a possibility, maybe certain "bricks" are selected to be used as samples when selling wholesale

My latest slice of R9 (gold) brick (100gm 450bht) is consistent all the way through.

No dirt or seeds, not any more stem than my home grow.

As for bud size ........ does it really matter?

I've found the bigger the bud, the more stem you need to remove.

 

All I care about is THC content, and quite frankly I can't tell THC content by appearance, smelliness, stickiness, seed content or bud size, I have to smoke it to judge it.

Me too, I was not born with x-ray eyes or my own built in mass gas spectrometer, smoking is the only way to judge it 

 A ,couple of weeks ago my missis noticed a new guy selling weed at the local market 70 bt for around 10g she bought me 2 bags when i saw it I nearly threw it in the bin, but she insisted that she would use it for cooking That, as it turned out would have been a mistake, as I was very pleasantly surprised when I eventually got round to smoking it. It is now safely bagged up in my stash box and will not be used in the kitchen

Yeah you can't beat a 3 skinner   some times a king-size skin just isn't big enough in my opinion,  and after 40+ years of smoking sticking 3 skins together is all part of the ritual

just offering experience from brick is all. 

 

and yes bud size matters absolutely. lower smaller buds have far less trichome content. sure you remove more stem but the bud attached to that stem is far higher quality.

Almost all indoor growers top their plants, which produces smaller buds but a bigger end crop.

top their plants to create more tops. not larf bud. which only takes energy from the tops. 

 

example. 

 

i have done an extraction on popcorn nuggets vs big bud tops. 

 

the difference is huge. out of the popcorn bud i would probably get around 12 to 15 percent, 

 

whereas on the tops and bigger flowers i would tend to get upwards of 20 to 27 percent. 

 

numbers are by running 225g of each. separately. 

 

same flower same plant same grow. 

Take a look at today's Bangkok Post, future does not look good

I used to do 3 skin cones, wiht a card roach, when I used to smoke. But I used to hang out with Jamaicans.
