Ho Chi Minh City should employ more civil servants to oversee administration given its large population, PM Pham Minh Chinh said Wednesday.

 

Chairing a meeting in HCMC, Chinh said the Ministry of Home Affairs must either add more civil servants to the city's payroll or raise salaries for current state workers given the large workload compared to those in other localities.

 

A civil servant in the city, Vietnam's biggest, currently serves 346 residents on average compared to the national level of 152.
