A resort in Hanoi and a second in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau have been named winners in different categories of the 2022 International Travel Awards.

Melia Ba Vi Mountain Retreat, a short ride from Ba Vi National Park on the outskirts of Hanoi, won the "best wellness resort" title.

The resort's architecture is a combination of French colonial and ancient Vietnamese designs.

It has eight rooms and three- to five-bedroom villas with views of green mountain ranges.

Wind Boutique Resort & Spa in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau was the winner of "best boutique resort" category.

Just a few meters from the 32-meter-tall Statue of Christ, a symbol of Vung Tau, the resort on a mountainous hill has 20 rooms overlooking the beach.

When I first started working out of Vung Tau, you could catch the Hydrafoil from Saigon to Vung Tau. What an amazing experience, 1 hour flight from BKK then a 1.5 hour boat ride down the river with beautiful views, bar on board for a few beers, then arriving in this trendy city.

I've worked in dozens of countries but Vung Tau was my favorite location to work. Beautiful people and lots to see and do.

What a life, every month fly in and out.
