I have never seen a quail in Isaan personally?

Not sure if they have them up this way?

Spotted in UT, haven't a clue about Trang.

any contacts for the shop?

I actually saw them 'wild', I think.  Though checking a couple bird sites, they aren't suppose to be there, Udon Thani, in the wild anyway.

Kind of surprised I saw them, along the roadside, and no houses nearby.

This gal might point you in the right direction, is she's still raising:

Do you have a local Makro? They sell the eggs in our one. Might be worth looking and seeing if there is a label on the box showing producer. Or maybe look in the local food markets or Talats and ask there.

Have you looked at "Back yard chickens" on Facebook? Lots of info, sellers, offers, inquiries, etc. There are also people offering quail.

It's just amazing, if nothing helps, bloddy lazzada has it, 5555.

We just bought 100 eggs and had a good rate of survievers, 75 made it.

Funny now, I found meat birds in Phuket too.

Thanks for all other inputs you gave me here.

huuwi.

I remember being served quail as an entrée in a rather posh restaurant many years ago and wondered if it had even been worth killing the bird for the small amount of meat which was on it!

Now many decades later I have found cooked quail eggs here in the supermarket and very much like them as a bit of a snack!

problem is that they live in the national park, so not much use for people who like to have them for egg or meat production.

And yet, I saw them by the side of the road.

If eating, raising, selling, you'll need to buy anyway, unless you hunt & forage for your meals/farming????
